CREATION OF Eco-D2G
Powertek provides complete services for the conversion of Diesel engines to 100% CNG engines and CNG products to the world market.
Our experience with more than 2,000 units converted in Asia and Latin America region allow us to modify engines, and install, calibrate and maintain conversion kits on
all brands and model of engines.
Since 2005, We have established Omnitek Engineering Group, at Yangon, Burma and Bangkok, Thailand, and undertaken as Technical Support and Main Service Provider of Asia and the Latin America region for Omnitek Engineering Corporation, USA.
Since 2008, we were the technical support providers for diesel to natural gas conversions providers for Orysa GNC in the South America Regions.
Powertek Engineering Group was established in USA, in March, 2010.
Many companies made components for the conversion but few offered little, if any, support for the actual engine modifications or installation of their components
From its inception, Powertek’s goal was to fill what it saw as a huge gap in the process of converting diesel powered fleet vehicles to operate on CNG. This gap was the lack of technology and expertise in the mechanical modifications needed to be made to the engine for a successful conversion.
Today Powertek is the world’s leading provider of complete CNG conversion services. More importantly, it’s expertise in training local mechanics to do the conversions is unique to the industry. Also unique to Powertek is its ability to provide ‘after installation’ service and support.
Powertek has subsidiaries, conversion training centers and strategic alliances in countries throughout Southeast Asia and South America. It is fair to say that Powertek’s ability to do an engine conversion with the minimum of time and cost is unequaled in the industry.
Throughout its history Powertek has performed engine conversions using commercially available products from other manufacturers. It has found all of these products to be lacking in performance, reliability and understanding of the “real world” issues the mechanics face in installing the equipment. These manufacturers were non-responsive to the suggestions Powertek made to them as to how they might improve their product.
In late 2010 a corporate decision was made to use all of the combined experience they had acquired in the conversion of thousands engines, to manufacture their own conversion kit. The design of this kit would address all of the issues faced in a conversion kit up to the point of an operating vehicle.
Simply stated, the design goals of this new design were; highest performance, highest reliability, lowest cost and an ease of installation that would greatly simplify the process of training local mechanics to do the conversions.
Through the efforts of their own engineers this commitment has resulted in a next generation conversion kit, the Eco-D2G
Powertek is now in a position to offer what no other company in the industry can offer, a single source for products, actual physical conversion, training to do the conversion with after installation support. The customer needs to deal with only one company for all of its needs for fleet conversions.
Powertek in the Future
Many companies resist change to their products and sell product that has not changed in many years. Not so with Powertek.
Engine conversion is a high technology field. As such, new innovations appear on a regular basis. Powertek is aware of this and its engineers are committed to keeping pace with any new developments and incorporating them into the Eco-D2G design when it will provide an increase in performance, reliability or lower cost to customers.
